Short answer: Partner multithreading is having more than one real relationship engaged on both sides of a co-sell deal, on your side, the partner’s side, and inside the customer. Tracking it means counting those threads on each deal so you can see which co-sells rest on a single person. It matters […]

Through-Channel Marketing: What It Is and How It Works

Short answer Short answer: Through channel marketing is demand generation a vendor runs through its partners, supplying campaigns, content, and funds so partners market to their own customers under their own brand. It matters because partners own trusted relationships a vendor cannot reach directly, but most of these programs underperform because they push vendor material […]

Partnership Marketing: What It Is and How to Run It

Short answer Short answer: Partnership marketing is joint marketing between two companies that combine audiences, content, and channels to generate demand for a shared value proposition. It matters because a co-branded campaign borrows the trust and reach of both brands at once, which is why a partner webinar or joint guide usually outperforms the same […]

B2B Partner Marketing Strategy: To, Through, With

What a B2B partner marketing strategy is Short answer: A B2B partner marketing strategy is the plan for how you market to partners, through partners, and with partners, so partner relationships turn into pipeline rather than logos on a slide. It works when each of those three audiences has its own goal and the whole […]

Why Does Co-Selling Fail? The Human Reasons It Breaks

What does why does co-selling fail mean? Short answer: Why does co-selling fail is, at the level reps actually experience, a question about the human moments between two sellers, the slow handoff, the unbuilt trust, the credit that never gets shared, where joint deals quietly break even when the program looks well-designed on paper. It […]

Working With Partner Sales Teams: The Operating Rules

What is working with partner sales teams? Short answer: Working with partner sales teams is the day-to-day practice of getting another company’s sellers to spend their limited selling time on deals where you help them win, by being useful to their number rather than asking them to carry yours. It is a relationship measured in […]

Co-Sell Consulting: What It Is and When You Need It

What is co-sell consulting? Short answer: Co-sell consulting is outside help that designs, builds, or fixes a company’s co-sell motion, the defined way partners and reps sell together. Co-Sell Examples: Motions That Produce Revenue

What are co-sell examples? Short answer: Co-sell examples are concrete illustrations of partners and reps selling together, showing who fronts the customer, how the deal runs, and how credit is shared. Co-Sell Management: Running the Motion to Produce

What is co-sell management? Short answer: Co-sell management is the ongoing operating work that keeps a joint-selling motion producing, running the deal reviews, maintaining attribution, coordinating partners and reps, and unsticking deals. It is the difference between a co-sell program that was launched and one that keeps running. A co-sell motion is not a thing […]

Co-Sell Sales Cycle Time: Why It Shrinks Deals

What is co-sell sales cycle time? Short answer: Co-sell sales cycle time is how long a deal takes to close when a partner is selling alongside your rep, measured from first opportunity to closed-won.
