Referral Partner: What It Is and How to Work With One

Short answer Short answer: A referral partner is a company or individual who introduces you to prospects in their network in exchange for a fee, without taking part in the sale or the transaction. It matters because a referral partner opens warm doors that cold outreach cannot, but the model only produces when the referral […]

Through-Channel Marketing: What It Is and How It Works

Short answer Short answer: Through channel marketing is demand generation a vendor runs through its partners, supplying campaigns, content, and funds so partners market to their own customers under their own brand. It matters because partners own trusted relationships a vendor cannot reach directly, but most of these programs underperform because they push vendor material […]

Partnership Marketing: What It Is and How to Run It

Short answer Short answer: Partnership marketing is joint marketing between two companies that combine audiences, content, and channels to generate demand for a shared value proposition. It matters because a co-branded campaign borrows the trust and reach of both brands at once, which is why a partner webinar or joint guide usually outperforms the same […]

B2B Partner Marketing Strategy: To, Through, With

What a B2B partner marketing strategy is Short answer: A B2B partner marketing strategy is the plan for how you market to partners, through partners, and with partners, so partner relationships turn into pipeline rather than logos on a slide. It works when each of those three audiences has its own goal and the whole […]

Best SaaS Partner Programs: What Sets Them Apart

What the best SaaS partner programs actually are Short answer: The best SaaS partner programs are the ones that can trace a defensible share of closed revenue back to specific partner actions, not the ones with the most logos on a directory page. They win because they run partnerships as a forecastable revenue motion, with […]

Partnership Titles: What Each Role Means and When

What partnership titles are Short answer: Partnership titles are the job labels companies use for the people who build and run partner relationships, from partner manager to VP of partnerships to Chief Partner Officer. What Is an SI Partner? Definition and How They Sell

What an SI partner is Short answer: An SI partner is a systems integrator that implements, configures, and often resells your software as part of a larger services engagement for its clients. SaaS Reseller: What It Is and How the Model Works

What a SaaS reseller is Short answer: A SaaS reseller is a company that sells your subscription software to its own customers for a margin, handling some mix of the sale, the billing, and the ongoing relationship. Reseller Partnerships: How They Work and When to Use

What reseller partnerships are Short answer: Reseller partnerships are relationships where another company sells your product to its own customers for margin, taking on part of the transaction rather than just referring you in. Reseller Programs: How They Work and How to Build

What reseller programs are Short answer: Reseller programs are structured arrangements where another company sells your product to their own customers in exchange for margin, and you provide the pricing, enablement, and support that make selling it worthwhile. SaaS Partnerships: Types, Models, and What Works

What SaaS partnerships are Short answer: SaaS partnerships are structured relationships between software companies and other firms (technology vendors, resellers, and services providers) that expand how a product reaches and serves customers.
